Wild Stems is a creative floral design & curated gift shop located in Los Angeles, known for their stunning arrangements and warm energy. For this project, we focused on creating a brand identity that would embody the vibrant energy of the shop and its owners. The client was inspired by the vintage items in their store and bright colors of their favorite flowers, so we used a bold and lively color palette with a modern version of a classic checkerboard.

We combined nostalgic typography, 70s-inspired colors, and vintage elements with fresh, modern shapes to create a retro-meets-modern aesthetic. The goal was to curate a stylish yet welcoming energy—funky, fresh, and fun, but in a subtle, approachable way that feels cool and inviting.
We chose colors inspired by the vibrant hues found in floral arrangements, aiming for a palette full of pigment and energy while maintaining a subtle vintage feel to complement the retro-modern aesthetic.
We selected fonts that felt funky yet subtle, combining retro-inspired typewriter-style fonts with italic serifs that add flair and character. This mix brought personality to the design without overpowering the vibrant colors or intricate patterns.
We created a versatile logo suite with a range of options to meet the studio's diverse needs. A cleaner logo was designed for professional settings, while a whimsical script option provided instant brand recognition and a playful touch.
We developed a custom Shopify website tailored to the business's unique needs, including features like a custom order inquiry system, weekly florist choice arrangement orders, zip code delivery checking, delivery instructions, a gift shop with shipping options, photo galleries, and more.
